She's what makes me

Long has he sat and watched her, long has he longed to be with her. He has protected and acted for her, taken sting and bat alike.
He cut his hair changed his speech, yet still she is not his. He ran and jumped, played games. He was a superhero, a knight in almost shinny armor.
He fought and in the end the blade to take his life was her's.
